Spooky Halloween Craft Ideas
Paper Plate Pumpkins – Create fun (or scary!) pumpkin faces using paper plates. Simply paint the plates with orange paint, then using black sugar paper shapes, add ghoulish faces. These could also be used to create bunting to decorate the classroom.
Spooky Spider Webs – Make spider webs using white wool and gluing to black sugar paper. You could also add a cute little spider crafted from pipe cleaners and wiggly eyes.
Ghostly Handprints – Using dark coloured paper or card as the base, get the class to print their hands in different colours and turn them into ghostly figures. An upside-down white hand print could be used for a ghost, or two black hand prints put together could create a bat!
Witch Hat Headbands – Craft mini witch hats with black construction paper and attach them to headbands for a fun Halloween accessory.
Mummy Jars – To encourage reusing everyday items for crafting, why not get your class to bring in empty glass jars which you can then wrap the jars in gauze or bandages to create eerie mummy LED candle holders.
Pinecone Bats – Using black paint cover pinecones, then using construction paper for the wings, make adorable bat decorations.
Pumpkin Suncatchers – Cut a pumpkin shape (or any other spooky shapes) out of black sugar paper or card. Then use tissue paper and tape or glue to cover the whole cut-out area.
Paper Bag Monsters – Using stick-on shapes and cut out pieces of paper decorate paper bags to create unique and creepy monster puppets.
