 Covid – Round Two

Covid – Round Two

We were all bombarded with advice and directives on how we would bring our students back in these uncertain times and each school interpreted them in their own style.

Covid – Round Two

Covid – Round Two

As children have returned for the autumn term, their incredible resilience and adaptability has been greatly observed by many.

Even though risk assessments have meant a very different start to the school year, children are adjusting remarkably well - whether settling into routines, establishing friendships or building relationships with their assigned Key Person.

Moving forwards - The landscape of Early Years Following the Coronavirus Pandemic

Moving forwards - The landscape of Early Years Following the Coronavirus Pandemic

What a year it’s been! No one could have predicted the bizarreness this year has brought – school and setting closures, ‘bubbles’ of children, furloughed staff, Zoom teaching and singing Happy Birthday whilst washing our hands. You couldn’t have made it up! However, we’ve now had to accept that we’re not moving on from life after COVID, but making preparations to live with it, at least for the foreseeable future.

Schools Open: Two weeks in Review

Schools Open: Two weeks in Review

We are now well into the new phase for schools. All of our planning, risk assessing, signing and deep cleaning has been achieved and schools are starting to look much more ‘open for business’.

Prior to this, teachers have been busy providing remote working for their students with support staff working behind the scenes to enable schools to continue to operate and carrying out admin functions.

As Early Years settings begin to open more widely for children, teachers and practitioners have an important role to play in easing this transition.

 Back to school?

Back to school?

So – we are going back?

Following our significant period of home learning schools are now getting ready to go back, some sooner than others. There is a lot of work required to enable this to happen following the pandemic and a plethora of advice about how to go about it.

How we are supporting Schools come opening Day

How we are supporting Schools come opening Day

‘How are you, and how can we help?’ This is the question our Sales team has been asking to over 3000 customers a week.

Many schools have remained open for key workers children and we appreciate the difficulties teachers are now faced with, in adapting to never before seen changes to their working environments and personal lives.

The highs and lows of remote working…

The highs and lows of remote working…

In the fourth week of remote working, I am starting to realise how much I take for granted on a day-to-day basis. I have come to realise how much I rely on the simple things that we all take for granted.
