How Classroom Furniture Aids Learning
As schools begin welcoming back flurries of pupils, the excitement of escaping the four walls we had become all too well-acquainted with is equally met by the underlying anxiety of missed lessons and work, for teachers parents and children alike. To ease this transition, and get learning back to where it should be, we can offer classroom furniture that promotes efficient learning, while adding to the overall classroom aesthetic.
"As former teachers, this is the partnership we've been waiting for!"
At PlanBee, everything we do is driven by two aims: to improve teaching and learning in schools and to make teachers' lives easier. That's why we're proud to partner with KCS — the first collaboration in our 11-year history.
I'm a former primary school teacher and now a manager and resource creator for PlanBee. To help explain what PlanBee is all about, and why we're excited to be working with KCS, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my teaching journey.
Will The Corona Grinch Steal Christmas From Your School?
In How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Cindy Lou Hoo demonstrates her understanding of the festive season: “no one should be alone on Christmas,” she says emphatically. Will Snow Days Ever be the Same?
We all know that feeling, when winter has arrived and the weather has taken a turn for the worse. ‘Will it snow?’, we all ask ourselves. ‘Will we be snowed in?’ Students get excited that they have an impromptu day off, and staff are thinking they have time to do planning, relax a little, take a breath.

Financial Education has been in the National Curriculum since 2014. However, as there are no specialist ‘financial education’ teachers in schools, delivery is piecemeal and teachers don’t feel qualified or even prepared to do the job.
Why does it matter that schools get it right?
Working Walls: Working for YOU?
What a brilliant idea! A display that charts the progression of a topic in any area of the curriculum; pupils interacting with the process; prompts and memory-joggers; a mapping of the learning journey so that everyone can refer back.
Working walls are current! Helpful! Engaging! Inspiring! Effective!
(Aren’t they?)
Working Walls are without doubt an insightful concept. But is it time to check that they are working for you?

The Future of Learning: Good, Bad or Something In Between?
Speed of Change
Things are happening so fast! (Or are they?) Has lockdown simply forced us to recognise that learning doesn’t have to take place within bricks and mortar? Could online education become an effective tool? And is it a good idea to replace the classroom with the kitchen table?

Parents supporting Home Learning
In the past two weeks, children in Early Years have been making their way back to settings in light of recent government announcements around easing the lockdown.
However, official statistics published by the Department for Education suggest that families still think it’s too soon. Just 10% of the usual number of children are attending settings.
